The Mike Jones Charity Golf Day at Bryn Meadows Golf and Spa Hotel was held by Great Days Golf in July, and in support of the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA).
Former Scarlets, Wales and British and Irish Lions rugby player Scott Quinnell was in attendance to play and entertain guests after golf. 22 teams took to the course in great weather with the Bryn Meadows course in excellent condition.
GDG Director Mike Jones, who plays on the EDGA Tour as well as the prestigious Legends Tour said of the event, “I’d like to thank everyone who supported us today and who contributed to all the fund raising activities including the raffle and the auction. EDGA is something that is very close to my heart so to be able to run this event with them as beneficiaries is very important to me. I’d also like to thank of equipment and prize partners Srixon and in particular Gareth Taylor, who have provided all of the prizes for today golf event. Their support of GDG has been outstanding and the lucky winners are going away today with some brilliant items. Scott was the perfect celebrity to have today and he was on top form both on and off the course. Everyone has really enjoyed the day.”
Next year’s event will be staged at Mike’s home course Monmouthshire GC on Friday 8th September 2023 and bookings can be made here.
